Chris DeMarino joins EDT as a Venture Partner in China

EDT&Partners, the purpose-driven consulting firm dedicated to imagining, inspiring and improving education, welcomes Chris DeMarino as a Venture Partner in China. DeMarino has lived and worked in Asia for over 25 years, where he has extensive experience helping schools expand their global footprint in the Asian education market. 

DeMarino holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with dual degrees in History and East Asian Studies. DeMarino is currently Managing Director of Academus Partners, an advisory firm focused on the Chinese education market. At Academus, DeMarino has worked with schools, edtech companies and education-focused investors to build business development strategies, improve operating efficiencies and pursue acquisition opportunities. 

DeMarino is a co-founder of Global Links Education, where he helps American high schools identify new revenue sources internationally. He was also part of the founding team at Dulwich College International (DCI) from 2004 to 2014, during which time he opened eight Dulwich College-branded K-12 schools across Asia. Dulwich College Seoul continues to be ranked as a top international school in the South Korean capital.
